Often times when I paint, aside from indulging in the music, film, literary or civil rights thoughts pertaining to the work holding my rapt attention in the intriguing process of creation, I envision it subtly underlining the ambiance of a restaurant, a movie theater, a bar, a music club, a beauty salon, an interior design or jewelry shop, a practice or office space, a home, being the cover of the book you read - you name it. As with literature that yearns to be read, with music that needs to be heard, paintings intrinsically strive to be seen - and make seen.
